I don't do social service. I don't do it because the term "social" makes it appear as if I am doing it for someone else. I actually do service of the Self, and helping others is the best way to do it.I do it for very selfish reasons. I do it primarily to get rid of the guilt, which I feel whenever I see the face of a hungry man. I do it because I believe what Swami Vivekananda says, that I, or for that matter, no one, can be completely happy unless all of us are. Helping others makes me happy and it is the only way I know of living. In this world, I see a constant battle between Good and Evil and I choose to not sit on the sidelines. I choose to make a dent in the universe.
